Doha: Rajagiri Public School (RPS) has celebrated World Environment Day 2022 by planting a variety of trees around the campus.
To accelerate the process of greening the campus, half grown trees were planted which included Date Palms, Gulmohar, Neem and Chempaka.
Managing Director George Jacob inaugurated the planting process by planting a Neem tree. Greening the campus was the vision of Academic Director of the school Dr. Prashant Palakkappillil who joined the school recently. He said that a group of students will be entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of each tree.
A special assembly was also organised in which students presented dances and songs on the theme of environment.
