Doha: The Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi, yesterday held a farewell ceremony for the outgoing US Ambassador to Qatar, Susan Laila Ziadeh.
Held at the Diplomatic Institute, the ceremony was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and a number of department directors in the Foreign Ministry.
The Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Major-General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, and Chief of Staff Air Vice-Marshal Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim also met the US envoy yesterday.
During their meetings, the officials reviewed relations between Qatar and the US and issues of mutual concern.
