SIS launches ICT drive

Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) has launched its ICT drive, which includes 5 components – School Management System, Multimedia Facility and Digital Content, E-Learning; E-Training and the School Website on the occasion of Teacher’s Day celebration.
Principal, Dr Subhash Nair, while welcoming the  guests including E T Muhammed Basheer, Member of Parliament- India and former Education Minister in the Govt of Kerala, Dinesh Udenia, First Secretary - Indian Embassy, and Rashid Ahmad Al Amri, Senior Education Specialist – SEC, and Essa, Social Activist and Philanthropist, stated that the hard work of SIS Staff is instrumental in the advancement of school in all domains.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Basheer congratulated the dedication and effort of the School Management and the Teachers for their collaborative effort and declared this as a landmark moment for Shantiniketan Indian School. He further asked the team to continue enriching the content to keep pace with time and enrich the learning experience of children to help them develop as global citizens. He also said that digital facilities are not enough, we need to grow in line with the speed of change in technology.
While releasing the School Management and Information System, Udenia urged the teachers to come closer to the students as a mother and guide them to the effectiveness of the system.   
Al Amri congratulated the management and staff while launching the dynamic School Website and blessed the school for realizing its vision.
While launching the E-Learning Portal, Essa declared SIS as a prime educational institution in Qatar and placed his hope on the school to prepare model citizens and human beings in a civilized society.
While addressing the gathering, School President, K C Abdul Lateef, called the occasion as a “Day of Celebration” for Shantiniketan Indian School, as it added 5 distinguished feathers in its cap. He released the e-training portal for teachers.
Shihabudeen Pulath, Vice Principal (Admin), presented the vote of thanks and called this day a moment from where the school can only march forward to achieve “Excellence with Uniqueness”.
