Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center has concluded its summer Islamic Sharia lessons programme for Urdu speakers, with the participation of 35 students.
The programme was held at the Grand Mosque in Al Thakhira and aimed to enhance religious and cultural awareness among target expatriate communities across various regions of the country, while utilising the summer vacation for diverse productive activities.
This programme was conducted in Al Thakhira area as there are many families of employees of key sector. The programme spanned an entire month and concluded with a ceremony honouring all participants.
It featured lessons in Islamic creed (aqeedah), jurisprudence (fiqh), Prophet’s biography (Seerah), Islamic etiquette (adab), supplications (adhkar), Quranic exegesis (Tafseer), and Prophetic traditions (Hadith).
The programme witnessed great interaction and significant participation from students, who maintained regular attendance and actively engaged in the various sessions.
It is worth noting that the Center also concluded the activities of its Summer Student Forum at its headquarters in mid-August. The forum hosted 120 English-speaking students and offered a variety of educational and recreational activities.
