DOHA: Inspection campaigns carried out by the Ministry of Economy and Trade to monitor suppliers' compliance as stipulated by Law No. (8) for the year 2008 on consumer rights, recorded 62 violations during the month of September.
A statement issued by the ministry Monday said, the Department of Consumer Protection received over the past month 449 complaints that were registered and forwarded to the competent authorities.
This campaign was done within the administration's framework to monitor markets and economic activity in the State of Qatar through the application of laws and ministerial decrees governing the work, the ministry said.
