Winners of the Al Majed Open Tournament with QTSBF Secretary General Tareq Zainal and Al Majed Group’s Director of Business development Nasser Ahmed Al Majed.
Doha: Qatar player Mubaraka Al Nuaimi won the women’s title at the 6th edition of Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) and Al Majed Group Open Tournament, held over one week at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex with participation of more than 200 players.
Mubaraka Al Nuaimi defeated Sarah Moghofel in straight sets 6-2 and 6-1 in the final.
In other categories, Qatar's Ghanem Al Sulaiti sealed the U-14 category, while Hassan Wali came in second place. In the girls U-14 competition, Khadija Qasama won the fist place, followed by Qatari player Mashael Al Khanji in the second place.
Qatar’s Issa Shanan won the men’s category title of the Tournament, after defeating Ahmed Al Shami in two sets (6-4), (7-5) in the final match.
Secretary-General of Qatar Tennis Federation Tareq Zainal congratulated all the winners in the tournament, stressing the importance of the cooperation between the Federation and Al Majed Group for more than six years in supporting the game in the country and the Qatari players.
On the other hand, the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour, which is hosted by Qatar Tennis Federation in cooperation with the International Tennis Federation (ITF), kicked off at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex with the participation of an elite of young professional players.
