Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality (MoM) has launched the pilot phase of an innovative AI-powered Institutional Excellence and Knowledge Transfer System, marking a pioneering step at the regional level.
The initiative coincides with the commencement of evaluations for the Qatar Government Excellence Award – Second Edition, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to advancing excellence and innovation in government performance.
The new system, developed by the Information Systems Department in collaboration with the Planning, Quality and Innovation Department, represents a qualitative leap in institutional excellence.
It goes beyond achieving superior performance to ensure the sustainability of excellence through advanced artificial intelligence tools that enhance operational efficiency, enable continuous improvement, and provide accurate, rapid analysis and insights.
This AI-based system contributes to raising awareness of excellence and innovation concepts, particularly among leaders and decision-makers.
It serves as a new model for institutional innovation, reinforcing the Ministry’s efforts to foster a culture of excellence within its entities at a time when digital transformation is accelerating globally. In today’s competitive and rapidly evolving environment, institutional excellence has become a strategic necessity rather than an option.
Among the key features of the AI-powered Institutional Excellence and Knowledge Transfer System are: Acting as a virtual assistant for standards leaders, Enabling faster access to results and outputs, Enhancing awareness and spreading the culture of institutional excellence, Providing integrated linkage between main and sub-standards and related practices, Offering smart connections between practices and evidence for quick retrieval and Promoting the concept of excellence among employees through an interactive and innovative environment.
More than just a technological tool, this system is designed to serve as a strategic partner in the journey toward excellence, functioning as a true reflection of the Ministry’s performance while driving knowledge innovation and continuous improvement.
The system was developed through intensive collaborative efforts and joint workshops between the Ministry of Municipality and its partners from AI technology providers. The result is a first-of-its-kind model in the region, positioning the Ministry as a regional leader in digital transformation and innovative excellence management.
