PARIS: Spanish duo Barcelona and Atletico Madrid reached the last 16 of the Champions League yesterday with two games remaining in the group stage.
Barcelona reached the knockout stage for the 10th consecutive season with a 3-1 win over AC Milan. For Atletico, their 4-0 win over Austria Vienna earned them their first appearance in the knockout stage. Holders Bayern Munich and Manchester City had qualified for the last 16 on Tuesday.
