DOHA: Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT) has launched the second phase of its awareness programme for schools — We Are All Humans — during the academic year 2012-2013.

It began at Tarek Bin Zeyad Secondary School for boys and Ali Bin Abi Taleb Preparatory School for boys.

It started with a lecture on human trafficking and forms of target groups and the role of QFCHT in the prevention of the global phenomenon the United Nations has classified as the third crime after drug trafficking and arms trafficking.

Educational competitions were organised to create awareness and promote cooperation and teamwork among students.

QFCHT aims at designing an integrated awareness educational programme for school students in different ages entitled ‘We Are All Humans’.

It aims at educating people on the concept of human trafficking, define all its forms and causes, identify laws and conventions on combating human trafficking, understand the role of QFCHT  and increase awareness among the target group about ways and methods of combating human trafficking.

The programme aimed at 12 schools in the first phase. During the coming few weeks, QFCHT will complete its awareness programme ‘We Are All Humans’ by visiting schools of different levels.
