Three robbers killed in Cavite shootout
Dasmariñas City: Three suspected robbers believed to be planning to stick up a remittance centre, were killed yesterday during a shootout with police in Cavite, an official said.
Chief Superintendent James Melad, Calabarzon regional director, said the patrolling policemen from the Dasmariñas City police encountered the three gunmen on a motorcycle near the vicinity of a Western Union branch in Brgy Luzviminda 1 around 8:15am.
When the operatives were about to approach the men, the suspects fired on the lawmen, who retaliated, killing the three, Melad said.
