DOHA: Nasser Khalifa bin Al Attiyah yesterday thanked the Emir, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for ‘backing the sports movement in the country’ minutes after he was announced as new FIA Vice-President in the French capital yesterday.
“I dedicate this major sports development for Qatar to the Emir, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Emir is the driving force behind Qatar’s sports movement. Every success that comes Qatar’s way in sports is due to the wholehearted support we get from the Emir and his office,” Al Attiyah said.
