DOHA: The Language Center at Hamad bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Translation and Interpreting Institute (TII) has started accepting applications for its upcoming language courses.
Those interested in learning or mastering a foreign language can enroll in a wide range of courses in one of five languages Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
Registration for the next term, which runs from January 18 through April 15. Those interested in pursuing a language course during the summer term, which spans from May 3 to 27, can register between April 18 and 30. Courses are delivered in TII’s facilities in Education City.
In today’s competitive market, language skills are becoming increasingly critical for professional advancement in any sector. TII’s Language Center offers courses at levels suitable for beginners, intermediate students and advanced students, in order to provide for an optimal learning experience. The English program is particularly extensive, with courses on offer including an IELTS Preparation Course, a TOEFL Preparation Course, two Business English courses – namely, Business Essentials and Business Skills – and an Academic English course. Reflecting on the development and growth of the Language Center, Mounir Ouanaimi – who presently serves as its Director – stated: “TII’s Language Center is now a known player in the domain of foreign language education in Qatar.
