Qatar Foundation’s Executive Director of Operations Research and Development Abdullah Al Mullah addresses delegates during Josoor Institute’s course, titled Media and Journalism: Best Practice for Major Events, which ended on Thursday. More than 70 journalists and media professionals from the Middle East attended the two-day educational training course on media and journalism. During his talk, Al Mullah shared his extensive experience on delivering major events, including the Asian Games, the 24th Men’s Handball Championship and the Qatar Open Table Tennis Tournament. A broad mix of speakers and delegates participated in this course, organised by Josoor Institute. It marked the latest in a successful series of events designed to equip sports practitioners and professionals within Qatar and the MENA region with the necessary skills and management capabilities to deliver major sporting tournaments successfully. The introductory two-day course featured several workshop sessions to provide participants with practical guidance on successfully organising print, broadcast, digital and social media activities at sporting events.
