Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Public Parks Department organised a number of agricultural activities within ‘Plant Million Tree’ initiative with the participation of many FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 fans.
During the event, tree seedlings were planted in different locations in the country, and some seedlings were given to visitors as part of the celebration of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The participation of the World Cup fans in the initiative aims to present a positive image of the efforts of Qatar in the field of increasing the green area, with the aim of preserving the environment and achieving the goals of sustainable development.
This and many other activities will be organised for the World Cup fans to participate in tree planting activities within the Million Trees initiative.
Meanwhile, Al Shamal Municipality, represented by the Health Control Section of the Municipal Control Department, continued its intensive inspection campaigns of all food establishments.
The campaigns are focusing on restaurants and cafeterias, and educating their workers about the health requirements to ensure the safety of foodstuffs and the health of consumers.
The campaigns covered Al Ruwais Port market for imported products, where the safety and validity of all the products offered were confirmed.
