Ministry of Social Development and Family organises various activities at Katara

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara enhances the presence of Qatari and Gulf culture within the activities accompanying the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which attracted many World Cup fans to learn about Arab culture, and exchange knowledge and artistic and creative experiences.

Among these events are the pavilion of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, the cultural house tent and the Arabic calligraphy art event, which presents a variety of activities in several places in Katara.

The activity of the Ministry of Social Development and Family combines education and entertainment for adults and children in its pavilion near the gift shape building in Katara, with the participation of institutions and centres affiliated with the Ministry, including: Qatar Social Work Foundation, the Social Development Center (Nama), the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disability, and the Family Consulting Center (Wifaq), the Orphan Care Center (Dreama), the Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan), Al Noor Institute for the Blind, and the Behavioral Healthcare Center (Daam).

The Director of Communications at Qatar Social Work Foundation Noor Al Mohannadi, told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that this year’s event will last for a month to celebrate the National Day and Qatar hosting of the World Cup, to introduce visitors to the services provided by the institutions and centres affiliated to the Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by several activities and events for all members of the family and society.

The pavilion presents a daily main event on the stage in interaction with the audience, in addition to the accompanying activities represented in the puzzle game aimed at integrating community members and interacting with them, a colouring and drawing corner for children, a football corner, the PlayStation game, and the FIFA game, as well as a memorial photo corner to document visitors visit to the pavilion.
