Police holding shields stand behind barriers to prevent students from the Telangana Joint Action Committee advancing towards the Assembly during a pro-Telangana protest in Hyderabad yesterday. The committee has called for the ‘Chalo Assembly’ programme to demand legislature to support the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013 for the creation of Telangana state.
