Doha: Tickets for the FC Bayern Munich and Qatar Stars have gone on sale, organisers of the match Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced here yesterday.
The QSL and Volkswagen Group will organise a friendly between the German giants and the elite players of the QSL on January 13 at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.
The local side will be led by Lekhwiya SC coach Michael Laudrup in the one off match; known as ‘The Clash of the Stars’ while the German side will be spearheaded by coach Pep Guardiola.
The Bundesliga leaders’ will be in Qatar for eight days, from January 9 to 17, as part of winter break training programme.
This is the fifth year in a row that the Bavarian club will train at the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence as part of the winter training.
“People are encouraged not to delay in purchasing their tickets for this one off match. A large number of spectators from across the region are expected to attend, eager for the chance to see the Bayern Munich internationals as well as the stars players from QSL,” the QSL has said in a press release.
Tickets are priced at QR50 and QR100 and can be bought online and also at designated places.

Interested fans can purchase tickets in person at three stadiums namely: Al Sadd, Al Gharafa and Qatar Sports Club.
At Al Sadd Stadium tickets will be sold at Gate 5 ticket office and Al Gharafa – ticket office between gates 7 and 8 today from 4pm to 10pm; tomorrow and January 10 from 2pm to 10pm; and January 11 and 12 from 4pm to 10pm.
At Qatar Sports Club will cater to fans at Gate 5 ticket office today from 4pm to 10pm; tomorrow from 2pm to 10pm and January 11 and 12 from 4pm to 10pm.
No sales will take place on January 10 at Qatar SC, while remaining tickets will be available on match day from 2pm at Lekhwiya Stadium, the organisers said. THE PENINSULA
