DOHA: The Building Licensing Complex at Doha Municipality will implement key performance indicators system (KPIS) from January 15 to accelerate licensing procedures. The system will be mandatory for all departments involved in the issuance of building licences, including consultancy firms.
Authorities will also launch kiosks (online machines) for applicants for building licences to know the status of their applications.
An announcement in this regard was made in a meeting held for consultancy firms. It was attended by representatives from municipalities, more than 125 consultancy firms and the services sector, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.
“Several points discussed in the meeting will be implemented and included in the plan to develop the system for the issuance of building licences to keep pace with the fast development Qatar is witnessing,” said Mobarak Mahboob Al Naimi, Supervisor General of the Complex and a senior official at Doha Municipality. The system for building licensing is being upgraded to simplify the procedures and provide quality services to citizens and expatriates. The Peninsula
