Where does IS derive its power from?

Why the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), also called IS, is to be blamed if it is a natural result of the accumulated frustration and disappointment of Arabs, Muslims and the free people throughout the world.
Address the root cause of this dilemma, crisis, problem, misunderstanding or whatever we call it and by eliminating the causes of frustration and disappointment of the Arab population, then, we will not have IS or even similar organisations.
Autocratic regimes in the Arab world, backed by superpowers supposed to be the icons of democracy, is one of the key reasons for solidarity with IS and to get financial and non-financial support including fighters.
Foiling the Arab revolution, with hopes associated with by the Arab people, in the hand of totalitarian regimes in the Arab world, is another factor for the frustration, disappointment and bitterness.
The third factor is the full support being given to Israel by authoritarian Arab regimes and democratic Western powers, presumably or metaphorically, to take whatever action it wants against the people of Palestine.
Israel is in a constant dismantling the West Bank and Jerusalem, assassinating Palestinian leaders who were at its service, and detaining citizens under the pretext of terrorism. While Gaza, despite promises and covenants, remains under siege through the boycott of Arabs and non-Arabs who keep silent over Israel’s oppression and wish to even suppress the thought of Palestinians to object.
On the other side of the world, the Super Power contradicted itself and committed crimes in Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib and Tora Bora, which caused the Statue of Liberty to be ashamed if we added to that the massacres committed by this super power in Afghanistan and Iraq will represent the fifth reason.
Another reason is the latest report published by the US Congress about the disgraceful action of the CIA, covering over fourteen years of torture since the 9/11 incident. Where the CIA committed crimes against humanity by practising different forms of persecution, torture, humiliating prisoners and infringing on the rights and freedoms of individuals who were finally found innocent.
This report dropped the last leaf that covered the superpower’s privy, which is a sixth reason that poured more fuel over fire, raging in the hearts of many Arabs and Muslims around the world that made them even believe more in the credibility of ISIS.
The deceitful practice of US policy of “the end justifies the means” politicised the report to make the American people wonder: “What’s new? And why now? This obviously had nothing to do with human feelings that suddenly arose in the hearts of Republicans who are now in control of the majority of the House and the Senate, which make up the most influential US decision maker, the US Congress.
ISIS today is a psychological situation or a global mood and phenomenon that reflects all of the above mentioned reasons and more. I personally do not rule out that it would stop.
The excessive force, especially from the US, French, British and Australian air strikes with their technologically advanced aircraft, turned out to be an utter failure in defeating ISIS, and this made many Arabs, Muslims and frustrated Liberals look at ISIS with admiration, especially after the intervention of Iran in the war to bomb ISIS.
This was looked at as an alliance between Iran and some of the Arab and Western states as if they are fighting against Islam, at least from ISIS point of view, on one side and sectarian war on ISIS from the other side.
What can easily be noticed that the frustration among many Arabs, Muslims and their supporters in other parts of the world is widening, and this in turn is increasing sympathy to the ISIS. It is this contradictory relationship that fuels ISIS and maintains its continuity and sustainability.
The result of all this is the advance of ISIS amid the conflict with a coalition made of 40 countries led by US that lost one warplane with a heat-seeking rocket and its pilot has been captured, according to ISIS. The same source reported that this was preceded by the tactical heavy weapons withdrawal of ISIS from Mount Sinjar city due to the density of air strikes and ground confrontation with Peshmerga troops.
