Doha, Qatar: Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met yesterday with a visiting parliamentary delegation from Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti delegation is led by Chairman of the Education, Culture and Guidance Affairs Committee of Kuwait’s National Assembly H E Hamad Abdulaziz Al Elyan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Shura Council Speaker welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation, praising the fraternal relations that connect the two countries, expressing his aspiration for further cooperation and coordination between the two parliaments, and the exchange of experiences in areas of common interest.
For their part, members of the Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the robust relations between the Shura Council and the Kuwaiti National Assembly, stressing that mutual visits between the two sides contribute to strengthening cooperation and enriching the parliamentary experience in both countries.
The two sides discussed several topics related to bilateral cooperation, strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations, and the educational experience in the two countries.
A number of members and officials of the Shura Council along with Ambassador of Kuwait H E Khalid bin Badr Al Mutairi attended the meeting.
