It was a fun-filled day for thousands of families at the seventh edition of Reach Out To Asia’s Wheels ‘n’ Heels Family Fun Day yesterday at the Museum of Islamic Art Park.
Hundreds of people jogged, walked, skateboarded and cycled at the Wheels ‘n’ Heels Circuit, while children enjoyed the Kids Zone, which featured an interactive arts space, skills-based competitions, a bouncy castle, and sports and fitness activities, among other things.
The event also focused on health, with an ‘Action on Diabetes’ village which provided free health advice and tests. Qatar National Cancer Society and Hamad Medical Corporation provided information on cancer and other diseases.
Music fans enjoyed performances by Arabs Got Talent finalist Shama Hamdan and Jordanian music sensation Diana Karazon, while young participants met Baraem Children’s Channel presenters Ahmed Al Mulla and Jihan Arsanious.
Sports icons Mahmoud and Abdullah Bo Shri from Kuwait, Qatari rally racer Nada Zeidan and teenage swimming sensation Nada Mohamed Arakji also graced the event.
