Al Attiyah returns from India forum

New Delhi: Chairman of Administrative Control and Transparency Authority H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah yesterday returned home after taking part in the 15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit.
They were seen off at New Delhi International Airport by Qatari Ambassador Ahmad Ibrahim Al Abdullah.
In his address to the summit on Thursday, Al Attiyah reviewed Qatar’s efforts to implement an ambitious long-term sustainable development strategy.
He underlined that the Qatari leadership is committed to working with other governments to build an international consensus on the goals of sustainable development and climate change policies. He also met several world leaders on the sidelines.
The Qatari ambassador hosted a dinner banquet in honour of Al Attiyah and his delegation. Many GCC ambassadors to India were present.
Qatar, Cambodia ties discussed
Phnom Penh: Cambodia’s Foreign Affairs Secretary of State for International Cooperation Ouch Borith met Assistant Foreign Minister 
H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi and his delegation and discussed means of enhancing relations and regional issues of mutual interest. Qatar’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Cambodia Jabor bin Ali Al Dosari was present.
Qatar, France review UN forum
Doha: Major General Dr Abdullah Yusuf Al Maal, Legal Adviser to the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, and  his delegation met French Foreign Ministry officials and discussed preparations for the Congress due in Doha on April 12-19 and its agenda.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that talks at the French Foreign Ministry headquarters also dealt with the France’s stances on the agenda and the agreement on cooperation and coordination between French and Qatari delegations. 
Qatar  chairs rounds of informal consultations under way in Vienna on a draft of Doha Declaration.
Ministry forms Tenders Committee 
Doha: Minister of Justice H E Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi issued a decision, constituting the  Tenders Committee at the ministry.
The panel will be chaired by Miftah Thamir Al Badi with Said Abdullah Al Suwaidi as Vice-Chairman, both representatives of the ministry.
Members are Falastin Mubarak Al Sulaiti, Mohamed Rajab Mohamed Taqi (both representatives of the ministry); Ali Hassan Al Nuaimi, representative of the Ministry of Finance; and Hassan Mohamed Al Assadi, observer member and representative of State Audit Bureau.
