New York: Qatar has donated $200,000 to the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund. Qatar is a key donor to the Fund, which will finance activities aimed at the consolidation of peace processes and to support the implementation of peace agreements and political dialogue in areas of conflict.
The Fund also supports activities to strengthen national capacities for the promotion of coexistence and peaceful solution as well as efforts to revitalise the economy and help create or restore basic administrative services and related human capacities, and technical help in sustaining peace and security.
