DOHA: Prominent Qatari artist Ali Hassan will hold a solo exhibition ‘Athar … Traces’ at Anima Gallery at the Pearl-Qatar.
To open on February 15, the expo combines classical techniques of calligraphy and abstraction in a contemporary interpretation. For the expo, the gallery collaborated with Hassan to transcend his ‘Desert Horses’ series into sculptural forms.

The sculptures are executed by one of the top foundries in Europe. “I dedicate these works to the people of Qatar and those who lived here or travelled through… individuals and families, Arabs and non-Arabs… Those who left their traces,” said Hassan.
