Doha: Keeping up its tradition to convey socially and morally relevant messages through its annual days, DPS-Modern Indian School conducted its 22nd Annual Day on the theme "One Earth, One Family, One Future".
The cultural extravaganza was in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and celebrated India’s G20 Presidency which focuses on human centric globalisation and promotes an inclusive and sustainable future. It also epitomised what DPS-MIS stands for and believes in.
Chief guest Sachin Dinkar Shankpal, First Secretary (Culture, Education & Information), Embassy of India, congratulated the institution for choosing such an apt and thought-provoking theme, which aligns with G20-2023 theme and compels us to reflect on our actions and encourages us to work collaboratively for a better future.
Principal of DPS-Modern Indian School, Asna Nafees, in her address, highlighted the necessity of adopting and advocating green practices to survive and thrive. She gave valuable tips to the parents and advised them to protect Gen Alfa from consumerism and capitalism and imbibe strong values to develop resilient, resourceful, responsible, and humane individuals.
President, Hasan Chougule, said that the school has received ‘Award of Academic Excellence’ for outstanding results in Grades X & XII CBSE Board Examination for 9 consecutive years in the Gulf region.
A visual incarnation “One Earth, One Family, One Future’ was an ebullient display of talents, aesthetic expressions, and enchanting music. About 450 versatile artists from the junior and senior wing of DPS-MIS portrayed the underlying idea behind the theme through various enthralling dance forms, enchanting music, and captivating skits.
