A general view shows a Petronas petrol station in Putrajaya. Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), Malaysia’s state oil firm, will focus this year on increasing domestic production after posting a 45 percent year-on-year drop in fourth quarter net profit. The country’s only Fortune 500 company, which contributes nearly half of Malaysia’s budget revenues, said earnings for the quarter ending December 31 fell to 8.7bn ringgit ($2.8bn) from 15.9bn ringgit a year earlier.
