Doha: The Unified GCC Traffic Week 2014 begins tomorrow under the theme ‘Your Safety is Our Goal’, across Qatar and other GCC states.
The event, with participation of delegations from GCC states, will feature activities, including a traffic exhibition to be opened tomorrow evening at Darb El Saai yard.
There will also be workshops, educational lectures, entertainment and contests related to traffic safety and a seminar ‘Your Safety is Our Goal’.
Veteran drivers and those supporting and participating in the Traffic Week will be honoured and participants will visit those injured in traffic accidents.
Brigadier Mohammed Saad Al Kharji, Director of the Traffic Department, told a press conference that the Traffic Week this year complements previous such events reflects experiences that contribute to the development of programmes, activities and events for various segments of society. QNA
