Amman: The Chairman of the Jordanian-Qatari Solidarity Committee and member of parliament, Basil Malkawi, yesterday praised Qatar’s support to the kingdom, particularly with regard to 600,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan.
He also praised Qatar’s support for the rights of the Palestinian people, especially their right to establish an independent Palestinian state with East-Jerusalem as its capital.
Malkawi also expressed happiness over the arrival of the third Qatari convoy of love in Amman. It included 1,000 caravans to help refugees in Al Zaatari.
He highlighted Qatar’s assistance to Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Turkey as well and said the third convoy was proof that Qatar was committed to its humanitarian role in the region. He said the convoy was the perfect example of the Qatari people’s solidarity with their Syrian and Jordanian brothers. QNA
