ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan decided to deploy rangers in the federal capital for patrolling and assisting the administration in maintaining security in the federal capital.
It is likely that the Rangers will take over the patrolling duty next week and stay in the capital until normalisation of the situation.
The decision has been taken to foil any district courts-like situation. Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said outside the Prime Minister chamber in the Parliament House yesterday that the Rangers would be provided with the most sophisticated communication network, logistics and weapons system for the purpose.
