On the occasion of Qatar National Sport Day, DPS-MIS celebrated Nursery Sports Day on February 15. There was excitement in the air and the atmosphere of the school took a festive turn. The Sports Day was felicitated by Gopi Varadhan, Director Development DPS-MIS as the chief guest, Principal Asna Nafees, Headmistresses and Coordinators.
The sports day commenced with everyone singing the National Anthem of Qatar and India. The students and all in harmony took the blessings of the Almighty by saying their prayers. After which the students of Nursery presented the chief guest and Principal with bouquets and fruits baskets as a token of gratitude.
The event then started with the students performing a peppy aerobics dance, oath being administered, torch relay, march past, parachute drill, bamboo drill, fan drill and races for the students.
Last but not the least the events took a final turn when the mothers of these young athletes also took part in the race organised especially for them with great enthusiasm.
It was an exciting day for the students and all present at DPS-MIS.
