Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from HE Emmanuel Macron, President of the friendly French Republic.
During the call, the French President reiterated his country's condemnation of Iran's continued aggression against the State of Qatar and other countries in the region, which poses a threat to their security, stability, and sovereignty.
He also affirmed France's full solidarity with the State of Qatar in the face of the Iranian attacks it is experiencing, praising the effectiveness of the Qatari Armed Forces in enhancing security and protecting all those on its territory, including French residents.
Within the framework of bilateral relations, both sides emphasized the importance of ensuring the stability of energy supplies and freedom of navigation in vital maritime routes, and of strengthening existing defense cooperation between the two countries, reaffirming their commitment to continuing their deep-rooted strategic partnership.
Both sides stressed that achieving sustainable stability in the region requires de-escalation and prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic channels in addressing current challenges.
