With the approaching 2016 national and local elections, President Aquino has cautioned the electorate against falling prey to “doble-kara” (two-faced)politicians or those pretending to be his allies.
At the inauguration of the Lullutan Bridge in Isabela, the President urged the public to choose leaders with integrity instead of his fake allies in order to sustain the fruits of his reform agenda, such as the country’s economic renewal.
“If you want the changes you see around you, isn’t it only reasonable to side with those who uphold good governance?,” the President said in his remarks.
“My bosses, I believe in you. You’ll be the ones who will sustain this and I know you will not be deceived by those pretending to be our allies although it is clear they are two-faced,” he added.
Mindful that he has a little over a year left in office, the President admitted that it is up to the electorate if they want to see a continuity of the country’s positive transformation.
