Khartoum: Chairman of Sudan’s Darfur Regional Authority Al Tijani Al Sisi, who is also the head of the Liberation and Justice Movement (LJM), praised yesterday the Qatari leadership for the role it played in establishing peace in Darfur.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency, the said that holding elections on schedule will contribute to advancing security and stability in Sudan. Al Tijani Al Sisi said that armed movements have turned into political parties after signing the Doha Agreement.
On the campaign of LJM, he said that their party made a campaign across Sudan. He called on the people of Sudan to practice their constitutional right and take part in the upcoming elections. He added that supporters of his movement are filled with appreciation to the Qatari leadership for the role it played in promoting peace in Darfur.
