DOHA: This weekend is expected to be warmer, with the Meteorology Department forecasting a rise in temperature from tomorrow.
The Department has also forecast scattered clouds and light rains in some areas in the country today.
The highest temperature is expected on April 12 (Sunday) with the maximum between 36 to 39 degrees Celsius and minimum between 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.
The rise is attributed to an extension of the “Sudan thermal low” to the Gulf region associated with south-easterly wind light to moderate in speed, said the department.
On Saturday and Sunday the wind direction will change to south-westerly to south-easterly moderate to fresh in speed, which might lead to dusty weather. A fall in horizontal visibility is also expected, due to dust winds, it added. Temperature in Doha today is expected to hover between 25 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius.
