An interesting tussle for supremacy is on the cards between Al Rayyan and Al Arabi when the two teams meet in today’s final of the Qatar Cup at the Women’s Sports Committee Hall at Aspire Dome.

Al Rayyan won the first match game of the three-match series 3-1 before losing the second by an identical score but the won the decider 3-2.
Al Arabi on the other hand wrapped up proceedings by winning both their first two matches, saving them from a decider.
Al Rayyan coach said Carlos Schwanke the final will be tough and team which plays well on the day will win.
“We know it will be a tough final against Arabi, but I am confident that we are ready for the title fight. It’s final and its always a special game. We all play for the title and for that you have to provide something extra for that. We have played some relay tough game in the recent past, but we have to be mentally ready and give our 100 percent in the final,” the Brazilian said, while speaking on the eve of the final.
Al Arabi coach Patrick Duflos said a ‘difficult’ task awaits his team in the final.
“We are happy to be in final. It is an important game and it will be a difficult one and we must be ready mentally to control our emotions to win it. And I hope the final will be a good day for us.”
“The morale of the team is very high and we are confident of a good show,” added the Al Arabi trainer.
Arabi professional German player Gyorgy Grozer said: “It is always interesting to be in the final and play in the final. Finals are always something special. We have a very good team and hope to win tomorrow. I was here two years ago also… this is my second time in Qatar. The level of the game is very high in Qatar and I think it’s growing."
