DOHA: Real estate transactions in the week that ended on May 2 (from April 28) jumped more than twice in value as compared to the previous week. The transactions last week totalled an incredible over QR1.44bn and they involved residential as well as commercial properties as well as plots of land, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported yesterday.
The increased sales volumes and value show that the demand for real estate has been growing hugely ahead of the launch of a slew of mega projects. Weekly real estate transactions have been averaging a little over QR600m in the past several months.
QNA said the previous week’s sales data were released by the Real Estate Registration Department.
