DOHA: H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum (QP), recognised the dedication of 322 long-serving QP employees at an event on Tuesday.
Addressing the ceremony Dr Al Sada said: “Under the guidance and wise leadership of His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, our country is well prepared to meet the challenges of development with an emphasis on its most valuable asset: its human capital. Your continued dedication, professionalism, and commitment did not just leave its marks on the jobs you have carried out, but also on the people you have coached and mentored throughout the years.
“This is a testimony for you as much as it is for Qatar Petroleum’s great values that are inherent in every thing that we do, most importantly: commitment, team work, dedication, and partnership.”
Appreciating the long service of employees he commented: “We in Qatar Petroleum are proud of the men and women from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds, who are our true assets.” QP’s Continuous Service Awards (CSA) Ceremony 2014 was attended by QP directors and managers, the families and friends of the awardees as well as by media representatives.
The QP staff who were honoured at the event consisted of 122 employees who have been working in QP for the past 20 years, 104 employees who have completed 25 years of service thus far, 51 employees who have already put in 30 years of service, and 45 employees who have been part of the corporation for the past 35 years.
Dr Al Sada presented the employees with a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift as a token of gratitude for their long years of service with the corporation.
The annual ceremony was organized by QP’s Public Relations and Communication Department in partnership with QP’s Administration Directorate. QP will be holding a second CSA Ceremony on May 19 to honour a total of 732 employees who have been serving the corporation for the past 10 and 15 years.
