Doha: The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani chaired the Cabinet meeting yesterday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zayed Al Mahmoud stated the following after the meeting:
The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and adopted the relevant decisions:
1. A memo of the Minister of Public Health concerning the outcomes of the 41st session of the Arab Health Ministers’ Council held in Cairo in March 2014.
2. A report about the visit the Minister of Transport paid to German company Herrenknecht which will soon deliver 15 high-tech tunnel boring machines (TBMs) for the Doha Metro project.
The Cabinet took necessary measures for endorsing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the governments of Qatar and Cyprus in sea water, water desalination and treatment of the sewage water and reusing it. It approved a draft agreement on avoidance of double taxation and banning fiscal evasion in term of income tax between the governments of Qatar and Gambia.
