Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to the Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on her country’s Independence Day.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable.
New chief at Media Office
Doha: The Foreign Minister H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah yesterday issued decision No. 60 for 2014, appointing Ambassador Ahmed bin Saeed Jabor Al Rumaihi as the Head of the Media Office at the ministry. It annuls all contrary provisions and is applicable from the date of issue.

Doha: An Advisory Council’s delegation left for Muscat to take part in the first meeting of the GCC Legislative Councils’ parliamentary committee yesterday.
The delegation comprises Controllers Dr Ahmed Mohamed Obeidan and Mohamed Abdullah Al Sulaiti, Member Rashid Hamad Al Mu’dhadi and Head of Technical Section Abdullah Abbas Al Haddad.
