Doha: Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the ministerial meeting of the committee tasked with adopting rules and regulations for the Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Award for Arab Security, will be held today at St Regis Hotel.
Interior ministers of Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria along with delegates from the General Secretariat of Arab Interior Ministers Council will attend.
The preparatory meeting of the panel was held yesterday. It was inaugurated by the Secretary-General of the Council of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, Dr Muhammad bin Ali Kouman.
He said the prize was proposed by Qatar represented by the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani during the 30th session of the council in Riyadh. He said the current meeting of the committee follows directives from the council to adopt rules and regulations for the award. The award aims at promoting security a shared social responsibility, among others.
