A general view of cueists competing in the qualifying round of $200,000 WPA World 9-Ball Championship which started yesterday at the Al Arabi Stadium. The final of the event, which is offering $30,000 to the winner will be played on September 18. Last time when the event was hosted at the Qatari capital, Dutchman Niels Feijen had brushed aside failures in two earlier World 9-ball finals to win the sport’s most prestigious prize with a 13-10 win over Austria’s Albin Ouschan.
