Doha, Qatar: Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) commemorated Pakistan Defence Day and the spirit of Banyan-Al-Marsoos with a dignified and inspiring ceremony held on September 6, 2026 at the PISQ Auditorium.
The event brought together students, teachers, school leadership and members of the PISQ community to honour the courage, sacrifice and resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces, martyrs and national heroes.
The ceremony was graced by Defence Attaché, Embassy of Pakistan to Qatar Commodore Sher Wali Khan as the distinguished Chief Guest. His presence added significance to an occasion dedicated to remembering the sacrifices of Pakistan’s heroes and instilling the values of patriotism, courage, unity and responsibility among the younger generation.
The programme featured enthusiastic participation from students representing the Cambridge, Girls, Boys and Primary Wings. Through a carefully curated sequence of presentations, the students conveyed powerful messages of patriotism and national pride.
The ceremony commenced with Quranic recitation, followed by the National Anthem, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the occasion. A specially prepared documentary presentation highlighted the significance of Defence Day and the sacrifices made in the service of the nation.
Students demonstrated remarkable confidence and commitment throughout the programme. Fajar Sajid and Hareem Shahid delivered an impactful Defence Day speech, reflecting upon the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s national heroes.
Addressing the gathering, Defence Attaché, Embassy of Pakistan to Qatar Commodore Sher Wali Khan highlighted the importance of remembering the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs and national heroes.
His inspiring address emphasised the enduring values of faith, unity, courage, discipline and sacrifice, while encouraging students to recognise their responsibilities as the future generation of Pakistan.
He urged the young audience to develop into responsible, disciplined and productive citizens who contribute positively to society and uphold the values associated with the nation’s heritage.
