Doha, Qatar: The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with The View Hospital and Korean Medical Center (KMC), owned and operated by Apex Health, strengthening the University’s network of healthcare collaborations and expanding opportunities for collaborative relationship in education, clinical training, applied research, and professional development.
The agreements establish a framework for closer collaboration between UDST’s applied academic programs and leading healthcare institutions, providing students and faculty with greater opportunities to connect classroom learning with professional practice.
Areas of cooperation included clinical and practical training, joint research projects, academic and clinical staff exchanges, student capstone projects, and the organisation of joint conferences, seminars, and other professional events.
The MoUs also create opportunities to explore joint research funding, collaborative publications, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, supporting research that addressed real-world healthcare needs. The collaboration with The View Hospital further expands UDST’s engagement with Qatar’s healthcare sector. As a modern healthcare institution committed to clinical excellence, The View Hospital provides a valuable environment for UDST students and faculty to gain practical exposure, engage with healthcare professionals, and deepen their understanding of contemporary clinical practice.
The agreement with KMC adds a distinctive international dimension to UDST’s healthcare collaborations. KMC is the region’s first healthcare facility of its kind and was established in partnership with four internationally renowned Korean hospitals. The center brings together Korean healthcare expertise, advanced technologies, and innovative approaches to medical care in Qatar, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and exposure to international healthcare practices.
