ISLAMABAD: Responding to PTI chief Imran Khan’s criticism on government, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rasheed yesterday said that Imran Khan should go to the United States of America (USA) to stage sit-in protest against drone attacks, alleging that Khan remained silent over Taliban’s terrorism.
In a statement, Pervaiz Rasheed said that Imran Khan is that naïve friend who is harming the country. He said that Imran Khan’s bravery disappears in front of terrorists.
Federal Minister said that Imran Khan is angry because Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif raised Kashmir cause in the United Nations.
He said that those who are harming Pakistan’s economy through their politics are also Pakistan’s enemies.
Exiled families get financial aid
ISLAMABAD: As many as 94,543 temporarily displaced families of Pakistan’s tribal region of North Waziristan Agency have received Rs396.35m under the Provincial Government Esaar e Pakhtunkhwa Programme to help them in their hour of need.
According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government under its Esaar-e-Pakhtunkhwa Programme has disbursed Rs 396.35m among 49,543 families of North Waziristan Agency till October 3, 2014.
All the registered verified families would be provided with Rs23,000 including monthly house rent.
Non food items like tents, blankets would also be provided to them ahead of upcoming winter season. AGENCIES
