Space Foundation COO to speak at Qatar University Astronomy conference

Doha: Space Foundation Chief Operating Officer Shelli Brunswick is in Doha to speak at the AstroCon, a conference dedicated to astronomy and space science, organised by the Astronomy Alumni Chapter at Qatar University (QU) and QU Astronomy Club. 

Brunswick will give the keynote address on 'Access and Opportunity can be yours in the Global Space Ecosystem' on October 8, Friday evening from 6:50pm to 7:40pm followed by a workshop on Saturday, October 9, at the same time on 'First steps towards access and opportunity in the Global Space Ecosystem.'

This two-day conference is as part of the 2021 Qatar-USA Year of Culture. According to a statement on the QU Astrocon website, Brunswick will introduce her listeners to a growing list of emerging technologies and how individuals can become a part of the supply chain for commercial business that now accounts for 80% of space business opportunity. "Walking us through the steps of a Workforce Development Roadmap, Shelli will show us the first steps we can take for access and opportunity in the global space ecosystem," the statement concluded.
