Gaza: The death toll of Palestinians killed in the besieged Gaza Strip rises to 256, health officials have said.
More than 1,799 were wounded.
Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that Israeli strikes flattened homes in several cities in the enclave, from Rafah in the south to northern Beit Hanoun.
The 2.3 million Palestinians who live in the besieged Gaza Strip spent the night in terror and darkness as Israel intensified air attacks and cut off power to the coastal enclave.
