CAIRO: Four people were killed and eight wounded yesterday in incidents involving Islamist protesters and militants, sources said.
One civilian was killed and two were wounded in gunfire in northeast Cairo during clashes between protesters and residents. In Fayoum province, a 17-year-old protester died during clashes with police. A soldier and a civilian were killed and one person was wounded when gunmen opened fire on an army checkpoint near the Suez Canal city of Ismailia.
