Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday discussed with the Emir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah cordial relations and ways to further support and develop them in different fields.
During the meeting at Hamad International Airport, the two leaders reviewed prospects of supporting joint GCC work towards more integration achieve common interests in addition to regional and international developments.
The Emir welcomed the Kuwaiti Ruler and his delegation who arrived on a short fraternal visit to Doha, at the airport.
The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and several sheikhs and ministers.
Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah and several senior officials were also present, along with GCC Secretary-General Dr Abdullatif Rashid Al Zayani.
The Emir led well-wishers to bid farewell to the Kuwaiti Ruler upon his departure.
The Premier, sheikhs and ministers were also present.
