DOHA: The Supreme Council of Health is planning to establish a special unit to detect pollutants that can contaminate animal products.
It will be part of central laboratory, Al Sharq reports.
A source from council said the council is also planning to set up a unit for quick detection of microbes using the latest technique (MS VITEK) at the microbiology unit.
The central laboratory is trying to get ISO-17025 certification this year.
