The Qatar Stars League has reaffirmed its commitment to football development, announcing that one of its football analytics course participants, Qatari national Khalid Al Subaie (pictured) is to undergo a three week internship with Qatar Stars League side Al Gharafa.
Now in a further commitment to develop expert team analysis in the QSL, Al Subaie will now join up with analysis team in Al Gharafa, to place the skills he learnt in the match analysis course in a football club environment. Al Subaie was joined by Miguel Heitor, Director of Football Development at the QSL to be formally introduced to club officials and Al Gharafa head coach Pedro Caixinha.
“Today is an important step in both the development of football analysists in the QSL, I would like to thank Al Gharafa club in their commitment to this cause and the support of this initiative from Ahmad Al Harami, Executive Director of Competitions and Football Development and I wish Khalid all the best in his internship with the club,” speaking at the introduction ceremony, Heitor said.
The course, which was previously, ran by the QSL football development department earlier in the year, taught the basics of match analysis and the use of the Wyscout system, which is readily available in all QSL clubs.
